Boikanyo Gets Some Wheels
“Children see magic because they look for it.” – Christopher Moore.
Our good friend, Brent Wilkins from VW Strijdom Park, sent a request to Hot Cares for Boikanyo.
Boikanyo Mogatoe is the 13-year-old son of long-standing employee VW Strijdom Park, Tumi Mogatoe. Boikanyo has Cerebral Palsy brought on by negligence he experienced at the hands of Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital staff at the time of his birth, where his Mom took 24 hours to give birth.
Although he has this disability, the VW Strijdom Park staff know him as an extremely happy and joyful child. He is a student at Costa Do Sol and loves school, soccer and gospel music.
Boikanyo went to visit his dad at work last week and came wheeling onto the showroom floor where he spotted Buddy (our furry adorable Hot Cares teddy bear mascot) at the reception.
“It was love at first sight, and from that moment Boikanyo and Buddy were inseparable, and Buddy has now left our showroom and is in the loving hands of Boikanyo at home.
Hot Cares knows the difficulty that children who suffer from Cerebral Palsy encounter regarding mobility and would like to make his life a little easier. One way to do this would be to purchase a Go Go Elite Traveller – the perfect electric scooter – valued at over R26 000.
This unique scooter has been designed to be easily assembled/disassembled making it simple to put into the boot of most vehicles.
