Chantelle’s Hope in the City of Gold
“Family gives us two things; one is roots, the other is wings” – Unknown.
Chantelle and Carl are a young, engaged couple in their 20’s just beginning their life together. Due to the economic situation and lack of jobs in their hometown of Amanzimtoti, they decided to come to Johannesburg to look for better opportunities.
A diligent and hard-working young lady, Chantelle has a Matric certificate and got a job working in a small Chinese store, working very long hours for a small salary.
To seek out better prospects in the City of Gold, Chantelle and Carl had to leave their 6-month-old twins in Toti with Chantelle’s Mum, who is taking care of them. Though with Chantelle’s Mums health not being 100% and her in and out of the hospital, the situation is precarious for this young family.
The concerned family that nominated them, tells us that they are helping with food and accommodation where they can and that Carl and Chantelle stay in a small room on their property. All they hope for this lovely young couple, is an opportunity to improve their situation because they miss their babies terribly.
Recently Carl was mugged of their only cellphone. All they need is a job, some winter clothes and to be reunited with their twins. Chantelle had expressed a desire to work in Randburg doing nails or jobs in the beauty industry.
Hot Cares would like to help get the ball rolling in reuniting this young family. We will pay for a Beauty Therapy course through Sorbet for Chantelle, as well as purchase an Edgar’s voucher and a replacement phone, Huawei Y3.
