Jamie Gets Encouragement to Keep on Fighting
“Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.” – Napoleon Hill.
Jamie is a 27 year old mother and wife who has had a troubling few years. Over the last four years, Jamie has undergone three lumpectomies, and last February, she had 75% of her breast tissue removed through a mastectomy. The ensuing reconstruction cost about R50 000; excluding what the medical aid has contributed.
Falling behind financially, and with an inconsistent income putting a strain on her marriage, November saw Jamie involved in a severe car accident in which she rolled her vehicle.
At this time she cancelled her medical aid due to affordability, and she spent just under R100 000 with hospital expenses and operations.
This year, another set back has hit her young family with the discovery of yet another tumour in her breast. Treatment this time has had a financial knock-on effect on her 4-year-old daughter who has been asked not to return to school due to outstanding school fees for July.
While the odds seem insurmountable, Hot Cares would like to encourage Jamie, who is doing her best to keep on fighting. We will be helping with funds to pay for outstanding school fees, groceries for July and for dinner for Jamie, her husband and daughter at Monte Casino – all to the value of R 7000.00.
