Michelle Eckert is an average person just trying to do some good. Seeing how wonderfully the staff have cared for her mother, now undergoing chemotherapy at the oncology center, Michelle says that chemo patients go through hell and her wish is to help keep them comfortable. Putting her passion for crochet to good use, Michelle spreads the love as part of the 67 blankets for Mandela Day group.

Michelle thought, much like us here at Hot Cares, that specific dates or events needn’t define our generosity toward one another. So Michelle continues her crochet crusade on an ongoing basis and has asked Hot Cares to help with the costs associated with producing Blankets for donation. “I buy all my wool and fleece for my charity projects. However, the need out there is far greater than what I can afford. Hence me asking for your help.”

The Hot Cares Team has donated R2000 worth of fleece material towards her fantastic personal project and wishes Michelle every success going forward.
