Reuniting Kristel With Her Ailing Mother
“Motherly love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.” – Marion C. Garretty.
Jackie from Ann Harding Chesire Home in Randburg contacted Hot Cares to see we could assist one of their residents; 62-year-old Kristel, who has Multiple Sclerosis and has lived at Ann Harding for 26 years.
Kristel’s mother lives in Cape Town and although they speak over the phone weekly, the last time she saw her mom was when Kristels Father passed away nine years ago.
With Kristel’s mother having recently suffered a stroke, Kristel is feeling a compelling need to go see her Mom, who will no doubt be getting on in years, it being that Kristel herself is 62.
Because of her condition, Kristel would need to travel with a Caregiver, but once in Cape Town, the Cape Town Cheshire Home will accom-modate them for the duration of her visit.
Considering that Kristel is short of the necessary funds to make this possible, Hot Cares would like to reunite Kristel and her mother.
Hot Cares will pay for return flights for both Kristel and her caregiver to bridge the 9-year gap since their last visit.
